First things first.....breakfast with a bit of salad ...
We left Coulon in a mega rainstorm. I had dropped the front tyre pressures by 15lb and am pleased to say that the bus handled the wet roads a lot better, the wheel spin was virtually non existent.
Our destination was the Island of Ile De Ray, we were hoping to get a spot at the largest town of Saint Martin De Re.
To get to the island you have to pay to go across a long bridge, which was opened in 1988 ...
There we are on autoroute the little red arrow ...
We got the second last spot in an Aire. It cost 11 Euros a night so we will stay 2 nights.
We noticed the campsite up the road had the 'full' sign up, that is the first we have seen that since leaving the UK ...
We read for a while until the rain stopped then took a walk down to the centre....yay people and life ...
Loved the cinema ...
It is a fascinating place full of rather well healed tourists, once again we fit in so well....not!
Why do wealthy Europeans wear red trousers? I will try to get some pics tomorrow.
The sky was still looking very dodgy but the rain held off ...
Bombo wasn't keen for a pose today ...
It is a lovely harbour with some lovely boats, but not the flash mega yachts as seen on the Med ...
There is a church in the middle of the town, you can go to the top of the bell tower for a panoramic view ...
It was well worth the walk up the rickety staircase ...
There is Elaine and the dogs below.......
....cuddling Bombo - her baby!
They have a traffic light system so you don't meet anyone coming the other way ...
Good job I was wearing the safety crocs for extra grip!!
