Neither of us are morning people ... well actually we are, we go to bed usually about 01.00 in the morning!
Today was a needs-must day so we were up at 05.30. I took the dogs for a walk, with the camera as usual, and it was superb! There was a slight mist, no wind and the water was like a mill pond.
I took a few pics as I walked around the marina ...
This one is my favourite ... the shots are straight out of the camera ... I haven't had a play with them at all ...
It was then time for the early morning drive up the M6 to Manchester for Elaine's appointment. It was only a quickie so we were back on the boat by 13.00.
We were just in time to say our farewells to our neighbours, Jim and Joan, as they were leaving on their summer cruise. We went onboard their boat for a farewell drink last night ... I doubt if there is a more immaculate boat on the system!
Bye guys, safe travels ...
We then took the motorhome down to Stone to see my Polish friends. They gave it a good clean, so now it is sparkling again. Whilst they were cleaning the van we went looking for a pair of shoes for me, as we are going to a wedding next week. Thank you Stone charity shops, a nice pair of English made leather shoes, hardly worn, for £6.00 !
We have now virtually moved everything off of the boat. We only have booze onboard so we will be eating out till next Thursday, when we move off for the last time. Tonight we went to Mojo's Indian in Stone ... it was a bit flash but very nice food, and excellent service.
Tomorrow we are taking a couple of boxes to Macclesfield and will stay overnight and catch up with Elaine's dad Burt, brother Trevor and a couple of friends.
Lovely photos, hope the appointment went well!
