We're off on us holidays!!!
Firstly I forgot to put this pic on the other day ... this was Sammy - ever so slightly relaxed in Trev's arms on our last night in Macc - aw cute !
Back to the present ! Yesterday we drove down to Kent, to spend the night with Elaine's Sis. We had a good trip down and arrived at the local pub ... 'The Fox and Goose' in Weavering. They are not a 'Britstops' pub but gave us special permission to park in their car park overnight. It is not such a big car park, as you can see, and as it was we took up 4 car parking spots. The Landlord didn't mind though so all was well ... and the four of us did have a very nice dinner and drinks there.
There we are - round the back!
We had a fantastic night's sleep last night ... maybe because we are now 'officially' on 'us' holidays, which seems strange as we have been on a holiday of sorts for the last two and a bit years!
No ... we are not in France already ... this is Elaine's Sister's house ... and what a delightful house it is too.
As we will be eating a continental breakfast for the next couple of months, Julie cooked us up a traditional English this morning ... meaty stuff for myself and Paul and veggie-meaty stuff for Elaine and Julie...
The dogs had fun with their cuz, Teddy - who is looking a bit like a rotund sheep these days ...
Sammy stopping Julie getting in the picture ...
Another Sammy shot .. he had been charging around the garden and decided to stop for a rest ...
... and then soaking up the sun's rays!
Julie and El ...
We said our farewells at midday and headed off to a Britstops pub, close to the Ferry at Dover. Here is is ... 'The Plough and Harrow' between Dover and Deal. We parked up in the huge (slightly sloping) car park, sorted out our paperwork/passports etc for tomorrow and then headed off to sample the local ales.
They are a really friendly bunch in the pub and they didn't mind us sitting in using their power and wifi either. We decided to eat in too - the food was all home cooked and brilliant.
We are up at sparrows in the morning to catch the ferry to Calais.
We will do our best to continue the blog whilst we are on Le Continent but we will will be depending on free wifi in cafes bars etc.
If it doesn't work normal service will resume when we return to this green and pleasant land mid July!
Farewell and we love yous all xxxxxx

Deletewow, just spent several hours reading your blogs, and several others, all as part of our research into either NB or MH living starting in two years. They are so very useful, and a great read. Keep them coming - thank you. And if you are travelling past Javea in North Costa Blanca give us a wave!
