Nice Walk Along the Cliffs

We have been driving every day since last Friday, so today was going to be our rest day.

No arguments from Sammie on that front!

Our M.O. with the motorhome appears to be the same as when we had the narrowboat ... Nigel no friends!  The bonus being that it is blissfully quiet ...

We decided to go for an early afternoon walk.  The weather started off grey and cool but then the sun appeared and it was quite warm, but certainly not hot - perfect for a walk.

Off we went down a very steep path through the woods leading to the cliffs ...

There were spectacular views once we were down there - it reminded us of the Cornish cliffs ...

We walked along a good path when all of a sudden we came to a tunnel ... the walking track was obviously an old rail line running along the coast.  This tunnel is off bounds for walkers now as it was looking pretty crumbly ...

There were absolutely glorious views for miles, we came across only one other chap on our walk ...

Yet another tunnel ...

The dogs were getting tired so we had a rest in the shade of yet another tunnel ...

Onwards we went till we too become tired ...

So it was back from whence we came ...

Bombo has been a bit crook for the last few days with a bad case of Bali Spain Belly, thankfully outside of the van!  It all became a bit too much for him so we had to carry him for a while ...
Check out the smile on his face !

Spain=Donkey - and there they were in a field along side the track ... he looks a bit sad in the pic but they were happy donkeys really and very inquisitive !

After a few hours we were back at the base (at the top of the long hill!).  This is the view from the site inland ...

And that is where we walked along ...

Whilst I gave the van a clean down with my new u-beaut, swivel-headed washing thingy, Elaine made up a lunchtime snack with our newly bought Baguette, some kind of Spanish cheese, pimentos, olives, patatas frites (sounds better than crisps), bit of Branston  ... oh, and  lashings of Sangria!  When in Rome and all that !!

Tomorrow we will carry on along the north coast of Espana.

Re yesterday's blog post about not being allowed to have pet rabbits in Queensland Australia, here is a pic I took a few years ago when we crossed the border....$30,000, that is £16,500, for keeping a pet rabbit ...
