We Are Not Out of the Woods Yet!

Today we we were going to explore Bournemouth and Poole, but as we were moored up in such a lovely spot we thought we would just chill here today.

After breakfast we got the map out to plan the last few days of our UK tour.  We aim to finish back at Macclesfield on 16th September.  We are going to London next Tuesday for a couple of days then off to a family get together in Northamptonshire for a couple of days, so we just had to fill in the gaps in between.

This is the first time in five months that we have made a plan!
The Chart Table.

Once we are back in Macc we will then prepare the motorhome for hopefully a quick sale.  It will also be the time to stop daily blogging as not a lot will be happening apart from cleaning the van and packing up all our stuff to be shipped back to Oz.  I don't think the blog will stop completely as it is such a habit I will have to be weaned off it slowly!

Next I will have to wean myself off the real ale in preparation for drinking Aussie lager.....uck!

Anyway, back to the present!  There are some lovely walks through the woods ...

There are deer about, but we haven't spotted any yet ...

This is the view from the side hatch, not bad eh ...

Tomorrow we will definitely go to Bournemouth and Poole!

Hot Hot Hot!!

We had to wrench ourselves away from Totnes, but needs must, we must move on.

It was like being back in southern Europe as we skirted the south coast ...

Our first stop was Lyme Regis, a very nice place, at the bottom of a steep hill ...

The weather was like the south of Europe as well, it was HOT!

We had a midday drink in a pub to escape the heat, then we went walkabout ...

Some of the waterfront houses had thatched roofs ...

It was a lovely day for soaking up some rays.  We couldn't resist this shot of these three sunbathers ... so very English!

We found a little beach at the end of the prom, for Bombo to have his fix ...

Once we had finished looking around the town it was time for the long slog up the hill back to the motorhome.  On the way we bought a mackeral and beetroot pasty, which was huge so we shared one.  Man, it was good!

We are now moored up at Moreton in Dorset at the Crossways caravan park. It is really lovely here with lots of winding roadways and lots of choices of areas to park in - evidently positioned in 35 acres of woodland, to be more precise!  There are also plenty of rabbits and squirrels running around to entertain the boys!  Evidently there used to be a stag that came visiting but some people complained that he was getting too pushy with his antlers (while asking for food) and he hasn't been seen for a while ...

We parked up at the edge of the forest area, which is right next to a rail line so we can catch a train into Poole and Bournmouth tomorrow ...
