Pissed Off

Before we left our overnight stop we took a walk down the track to check out the famous 'cascade', which was breathtaking  ...

However, there was a nasty looking Croc in the lagoon ...

Elaine and Bombo taking it all in ...

We wandered back to the van but before we left the Aire I went to empty the very full cassette.  However, the elsan was out of order so I fitted the empty cassette to the toilet and put the very, very full one in the garage of the motorhome.  It was so full that I thought some 'fluid' might leak out the breather or flap so I put it in a big plastic bag to be sure, to be sure.

We then drove for a couple of hours to St Remy De Provence stopping for a lovely 'smoko' of French tarts on the way!

When we arrived at our destination I got the ramps out of the garage to level up the van when I was hit with the 'eau de piss'!!  The cassette had leaked and the bag had a hole in it!  Luckily we have fitted rubber mats to the garage floor so none of it got on any of our clothing, bedding or the other millions of bits and pieces we have in there!

We gutted the garage and washed and dried the rubber mats!  It didn't take long as it was a lovely hot day so everything dried out quickly.

Look at that you could eat your dinner off the garage floor ...

Later in the day we went down to check out the town centre ...

It is one of the best places we have visited in France it is just a superb little town.  We visited here last year (click here to see last year's post) ... we hoped we would still like it and we weren't disappointed!  The photos just don't do the place justice because in reality it is just breathtaking ...

In the 'flesh' these buildings look just like a painting ...

Yet another NZ Rugby shop!!

We finished up at a bar and and had a couple of drinks.  We would really have loved to have dinner as well but we are most definitely on a beer budget and the restaurants here are very much Champagne prices.

Here we be tonight ...

In the larger scheme of things ... here we are at the little blue dot below Avignon.  We will stay here for a couple of days as it's just lovely ...

I wasn't really pissed off I just thought it was a good title!!

St Remy De Provence

We were on the road quite early this morning, once again it was a very hot day.

We had no real destination so we headed inland and ended up at St Remy De Provence.

It was so hot we thought bugger the aires we will find a camp-site with a swimming pool.

And so we did, nice little site, with a very nice pool.

After relaxing by the pool we took ourselves for a walk into the town.

It is a delightful little town....

Lots of art galleries and shops to browse around, not that we browse around art galleries as its not our thing, but if you, this is the place for you.

This day, 21st June, is also the day they hold their annual music festival, so musicians were playing all over the place.  A rock band was playing on one stage, which frightened Sammie to death, he is very sensitive about noise.

We will go back this evening and leave the dogs in the van then we can listen to some music and have a couple of beers.

St Remy is also the birthplace to Mr Nostradamus. He was born here in 1503, his house still exists!

There he is on a fountain ...

Once again there are a lot of tourists about I just take shots up the side streets they don't go to.

Had to laugh at this. Lots of little queens, on all of them the hand waves.

I think its going to be very busy tonight, the cops were shutting off the roads to stop cars entering the town.

I dont think I will get any shots like this tonight.....no people....well one.

The people in this area remind us of the people that inhabit an area of Sydney called Double Bay, very beautiful, immaculately dressed etc, we fit in well......not.
