Race Fest.

So the plan for today was for me to stroll down the country lane to check out the bike racing, we heard them practicing from 09.00, the actual racing was due to start at noon.

This was our view from the van at noon!!!

Plan B swung into action.....feet up in the rear cabin and watch the F1 from Silverstone. it was a great race with a super result.

After the race had finished the rain had also stopped, you could actually see part of the track from our van.

I went down to the races and watched some cracking racing on all types of bikes.

Vintage bikes

The guest of honour at the meet was a Mr John Mcguiness, winner of 21 Isle of Man TT races including the 2015 senior TT.

A very nice MV Agusta.

John Mcguiness racing a Honda Grand Prix bike.

It is a lovely little track built on an old army base.

There were 21 races in all, I watched probably 12 of them.

The racing finished in glorious sunshine.

After the racing I went back to base, picked up Elaine and the boys and we went for a walk down to the beach.

Deserted beach, sunshine....perfect.

The sun is shining we are all happy....

Will it last??
