Ello John Got A New Motor.

It was a very early start for me yesterday as I travelled to London to check out the London Classic Car Show.

I caught the early morning Virgin from Macc to Euston then a tube and DLR to the Excel.

Not only was the car show on at the Excel it was also hosting the London Boat Show and The Cruise Show.

There were some fantastic cars at the show but they were nearly all high ticket cars, and most of the exhibitors were dealers selling very very expensive cars.

To be quite honest I wanted to see more of the everyday classic cars but never mind, it was a good, but very long day, out!

Interestingly, amongst the vehicles that I have pics of I have owned two of of them and have worked at the factory that built one, can you guess which ones?

Today was spent unpacking our myriad of boxes.  I don't know how Elaine makes stuff disappear out of sight, but we are nearly there.

Tomorrow we are going NARROWBOATING!!!

  1. If you had a TR6 I bet you changed the head gasket at some point. Everyone seemed to have had a Cortina at some stage........... LI150 was the first vehicle I ever owned.

  2. I had a beetle and a Morrie 1000 - when they were old heaps, long before they became 'classic' :)
