Lest We Forget

Today we visited The Australian First World War memorial at Villers Bretonneux The Somme.

A very moving visit, I don't think words are necessary, I will let the pictures tell the story.

  1. You obviously have a strong affinity for Australia and Australians. How long did you live there? I think we English forget how many Commonwealth men fell in the world wars, it's no bad thing to remind us.

    1. Hi Guys,
Lived in Sydney for 32.5 years, The Aussies lost 60,000 in WW1 which was I think the highest losses per head of population and 27,000 in WW2
