We decided to take the boat to Stone for a few days so we wouldn't have far to walk after celebrating New Years Eve.
What a perfect rip snorter of a winter's day to cruise in ...
First lock of the day is Aston Lock, this young couple were taking their cat for a walk, so we didn't let the dogs off ! Even though they have 3 of their own, they take great delight in chasing others !

We took the dogs for a walk when we noticed the boys from NB Chance flying over the top, on their way to New York! We waved at them but were not sure that they spotted us ...
Then Elaine's phone rang - it was Dot and Gordon (NB Ewn Ha Cul) who were in Stone and heading to the exchange for early doors. Would we like to join then they asked! Five minutes later we were in the exchange having a pint or two of Steerage with them :)
Next stop was the Swan where we were joined by Diane (NB Ferndale) and Mike the chippy. After a couple of pints of Guinness Elaine and myself made our way up to the Stone 'spoons for more Guinness and a lovely Sunday roast.
So there you have it, we went to go to the shops for a bit of shopping and ended up in three different pubs ... no contest!
Thanks for the wave guys, actually we did see you and were waving back!
