On To Javea

I forgot to put this pick in yesterday's post, and yes, he does rock!

We left Benicassim today after our weeklong stay.  Our first stop was just down the road at Lidl for a food top up -  it is very popular with the motorhoming fraternity ...

As we drove south we spotted our first bull on the hill ...

We drove right through the centre of Valencia which was fun with its seven lane roundabouts!

The road on the pic below was a couple of ks long, but all the traffic lights change at exactly the same time and there is a set every 50 metres or so!  It is quite bewildering at first sight !

South of Valencia the road passes through the orange groves where, every couple of hundred metres, there are ladies of the night / day sitting on stools touting for business.  I really don't know where they do the business?  It's very strange and is the only place in Spain we have seen them 'touting' along a major highway ...

Our destination today was Javea.  We checked into a cheap and cheerful site then I took the boys for a walk down to the beach.  The weather was decidedly dodgy with rain and thunder about, still quite warm though ...

And here we are ...

We are level with Ibiza but the cost to take the van across there is extortionate!

Tomorrow we will explore a bit more, come rain or shine!
