Glorious England!

Before we left our mooring I did my good deed for the day and re-secured  the boat behind that was drifting about on the cut.

I was glad to leave our shit mooring, more about that later.

We had some lock buddies today, good company too ...

The treadlie was in action again today, she clocked up a few miles on it ...

The girls were enjoying the hen party ...

Lock girls ...

I do like little ships ...

Bombo is saying...oh doesn't it look lovely ...

Emptying the nasties and filling with water at Batchworth, not the best location to squeeze into ...

Must be the best waterside Tesco at Rickmansworth. We spotted Arthur Dent in the carpark!

OK duck people, what are these guys?

Artistic shot ...

Preening Heron ...

If you look at the top right hand corner of this derelict building, you can see.....

King Kong!

He also has some old tyres to play on ...

Bombo is looking very worried, is because Elaine is at the helm?

The white house. which was a bit rundown, had a rather flash extension ...

Its different ...

Loved this house, it was immaculate and just the right size, as in not too big ...

River on the port beam, cranked up the mighty Beta and powered through it ...

This is Elaine's photo of a Buzzard....she hasn't got use to the new camera yet ...

We were rather hot and bothered when we stopped for the night, but just by chance we pulled up just past the The Coy Carp at Harefield ... it was glorious having a pint in the Garden ...

Nice pub, it is a Vintage Inn pub, which in my humble opinion is one of the best chain of pubs ...

Back to the mooring we went and, as I mentioned earlier re last nights shit mooring...

We moored under some trees, so when we got up this morning the boat was covered in bird shit and leaves.  I hoovered the inside of the boat whilst Elaine scrubbed the crap off the roof ...

Then it was back to the pub for dinner.

Yet another oh-so-glorious day!

  1. Yes they are, but for some bizarre reason they are actually ducks. They used to be extremely rare but are now fairly common.
